The University of South Carolina’s Noyce Fellows program is looking for secondary science and mathematics teachers in rural South Carolina areas to lead positive change and growth within their school and community. Applicants must demonstrate a strong desire to:

  • Advance the school and community in which they thrive
  • Grow their professional aptitude
  • Develop long-lasting leadership skills 
  • Act as a peer leader and mentor to foster professional growth in others

To apply, you must have:

  1. At least 3 years experience (5 years preferred) as a fully-licensed teacher
  2. Possession of valid South Carolina teaching license 
  3. Masters degree in science, mathematics, secondary education, or comparable field (completed by January 2015)
  4. U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident status
