Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle Level Education
The College of Education’s Teach Science and Mathematics program includes a Bachelor of Science degree program (B.S. degree) in Middle Level Education. The B.S. degree is designed for those individuals who would like to become a licensed teacher of middle school (grades 5-9) science or mathematics. 5-year Master’s (M.T.) Degree in Secondary Education
The College of Education’s Teach Science and Mathematics program includes a 5-year Master of Teaching program (M.T. degree). The M.T. degree is designed for those individuals who will earn their bachelor’s degree in mathematics or science at USC, complete a 12 semester-hour education core, and would like to become a licensed secondary school (grades 9-12) teacher. Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) Degree in Secondary Education
The College of Education’s Teach Science and Mathematics program includes a Master of Arts in Teaching degree (M.A.T. degree). The M.A.T. degree is designed for those individuals who have earned their bachelor’s degree in mathematics or science or equivalent in a qualifying discipline (science or mathematics), and would like to become a certified secondary school (grades 9-12) teacher.
